Two Unified Government committees are scheduled to meet Monday evening.
The Neighborhood and Community Development Committee is scheduled to meet at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at the fifth floor conference room, City Hall, 701 N. 7th St., Kansas City, Kansas.
On the agenda for the NCD meeting are Land Bank requests for 2109 S. 26th St., new construction; 3110 N. 47th St.; 1520 Pacific; and 1600 N. 59th St.
Also, an update on the Wyandotte County Land Bank rehab program is scheduled.
The Economic Development and Finance Committee is scheduled to meet immediately after the NCD meeting.
On the agenda for the EDF Committee meeting:
• A third quarter budget revision report;
• A third quarter of fiscal year 2018 budget to actual report;
• A debt financial policy revision; the issuance of industrial revenue bonds of up to $4 million for PHVIF for sales tax exemptions for construction materials and furniture for the Hilton Garden Inn property, 520 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kansas. According to the agenda, this would apply to sales tax only;
• An update on the UG’s cash and investment policy;
• A proposal to increase the Piper fire station budget by $1 million. According to the agenda, the funds would come from unexpended 2018 capital projects. The additional funds would keep basic features in the plans, according to the agenda. Bids would be taken on the project in February.
• A resolution to adopt the First Amendment to Legends West Lawn Development Agreement. Originally the work was to have been completed by Dec. 31. According to the agenda, the time to complete the project is requested to be extended until March 1.
