The Unified Government Public Works and Safety Committee is scheduled to meet at 5 p.m. Monday, March 23, at the fifth-floor meeting room, City Hall, 701 N. 7th St., Kansas City, Kansas.
The committee will hear construction updates for the Juvenile Justice Center, Piper fire station and the downtown Merc grocery store.
Also on the agenda is a request to apply for the COPS Hiring Program grant for five patrol officer positions.
The UG Administration and Human Services will follow at the same location.
On the agenda for the meeting is a discussion of a draft ordinance about the nomination, appointment and term of boards and committees, along with provisions on vacancies and removal of members, compensation and meetings of the boards under the UG Commission.
