The Unified Government Administration and Human Services Committee will meet at 5 p.m. Monday, April 27.
The meeting will be carried on Zoom as well as by telephone, UGTV and YouTube.
On the agenda for the meeting will be a request from the UG Health Department to apply for a $58,000 grant from the Health Forward Foundation to implement a behavior change campaign in response to teen vaping.
The campaign would be held in conjunction with the Johnson County Health and Environment, and Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Kansas, according to the agenda. There will be no matching funds required.
The meeting is expected to be in a virtual format, with many of the committee members expected to participate either by telephone or through the internet.
The public will be able to observe or listen to the meeting live on YouTube or UGTV.
UGTV is carried on Google TV at Channel 141 and Spectrum Cable Channel 2. The public also may listen to the meeting on the telephone.
