UG Commission to hold special session Thursday night

The Unified Government Commission will hold a special session at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 21, in a remote meeting.

On the agenda for the meeting are a COVID-19 update and a second budget workshop, Capital Maintenance and Improvement Plan, and target operation reductions and maximum mill levy discussion.

According to the UG clerk’s webpage, members of the public who would like to comment on the topics of the special session may submit comments to the UG clerk’s office by 3 p.m. on the day of the meeting, to [email protected].

The public may observe or listen to the meeting on YouTube or UGTV cable television, telephone or through Zoom on the internet.

  1. I would like to know who to talk to about our 2020 appraisal. Ours went up over 40%. I had a phone appeal. It remained unchanged. I have requested a phone appeal with Topeka. I don’t know about it yet. I left 2 messages for Janea at annex but no reply. These rate hikes are very unfair. I would like to speak to someone of authority over the appraisers office.
