All Unified Government offices will be closed Monday, Jan. 19, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, according to a UG announcement.
Offices will reopen during regular business hours the following day Tuesday, Jan. 20.
Board of Public Utilities’ administrative offices and the customer service lobby will be closed Monday, Jan. 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, according to a spokesman.
Although BPU offices are closed on the holidays, emergency service is available seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

Residential trash collection in Kansas City, Kan., from Deffenbaugh will be delayed one day next week because of the King holiday, according to an announcement on its website.
Trash, recycling and yard waste may be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on the day following the normal pickup day, according to the announcement.
The Kansas City, Kan., Public Libraries also will be closed for the holiday on Monday, Jan. 19.
