The U.S. Men’s National Team will play at 8 p.m. Sunday, July 11, at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas.
Gianluca Busio, midfielder for Sporting KC, is on the U.S. Men’s National Team as it plays Haiti in Group B in the opening rounds of the Concacaf Gold Cup tournament.
The game will be on FS1, Univision and TUDN.
The U.S. Men’s Team opens the tournament on July 11 against Haiti, then goes on to play Martinique on July 15 at Children’s Mercy Park, followed by Canada on July 18 at Children’s Mercy Park.
The top two teams in each of four groups will advance to the quarterfinals July 24-25 in Arlington, Texas, and Glendale, Arizona. The semifinals are July 29 in Austin and Houston, followed by the championship match Aug. 1 in Las Vegas.
Busio, age 19, a native of Greensboro, North Carolina, is a homegrown player for Sporting KC. He was the youngest player to sign with a Major League Soccer club. It will be Busio’s first time playing for the U.S. Men’s Team.
Also on the U.S. Men’s Team is Nicholas Gioacchini, a forward. He will be returning to the Kansas City area for the first time since he was 8 years old. A native of Overland Park, Kansas, Gioacchini’s family moved to Italy when he was 8. He launched his career with Paris FC in 2017 and now is a forward for Caen-France.
