A three-vehicle accident resulted in injuries around 9:40 a.m. Saturday, March 4, on I-70 near the Turner Diagonal.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, a Toyota passenger car was westbound on I-70 and braked abruptly for an unknown reason. The Toyota also slid to the inside shoulder, striking the wall, the trooper’s report stated.
Then a Ford passenger car and a Ford SUV made contact with the Toyota, the trooper’s report stated. The Ford passenger car also struck the wall, according to the report.
The driver of the Toyota passenger car, a 73-year-old man from Kansas City, Kansas, was injured and taken to a hospital, the trooper’s report stated.
A passenger in the Toyota, a 67-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, woman, also was injured and taken to a hospital, the report stated.
The driver of the Ford passenger car, a 44-year-old woman from Vera Cruz, Mexico, was not injured, the report stated.
The driver of the Ford SUV, a 38-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, woman, also was not injured, according to the trooper’s report.
