Two injuries were reported in a three-vehicle accident at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, on I-635 southbound, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
A Chevy driven by a 33-year-old Kansas City, Kan., woman was southbound on I-635 when it drifted to the left and struck the metal guardrail before drifting to the right, striking the right rear of a Honda van, according to the report. The Chevy continued to the right and struck the driver side of a Hyundai, the report stated.
The Honda van then struck the right bridge barrier wall and overturned while the Chevy struck the right barrier wall, the report stated.
The driver of the Chevy was taken to a hospital. The driver of the van, who was a 71-year-old man from Kansas City, Mo., and a passenger were not injured, the report stated.
The driver of the Hyundai, a 39-year-old man from Kansas City, Mo., was injured, the report stated.
