Two injuries were reported when two westbound vehicles collided on I-70 near 78th Street at 2:55 p.m. March 18 in Kansas City, Kan. It was raining during parts of the afternoon March 18.
According to the Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s report, a Toyota four-door vehicle and a Ford four-door vehicle were westbound on I-70 when the driver of the Toyota lost control and struck the barrier wall.
The Toyota then struck the Ford, causing the Ford to hit the barrier wall, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Toyota, a 26-year-old Kansas City, Kan., woman, was not injured, the report stated. The driver of the Ford, a 61-year-old Wentzville, Mo., woman, also was not injured, according to the report.
A 29-year-old Kansas City, Kan., woman passenger in the Toyota and a 50-year-old Kansas City, Kan., woman passenger in the Toyota were injured and taken to a hospital, the report stated.
