Two injured in shooting near 112th and Delaware Parkway

Two adults were injured in a shooting on Saturday, Oct. 30, inside a vehicle near 112th and Delaware Parkway in Kansas City, Kansas, according to a Kansas City, Kansas, police spokesman.

Officers were dispatched to the location around 12:15 p.m., according to the spokesman. There are apartments at the location.

One of the persons had life-threatening injuries and theother, non-life threatening inuries, according to the police spokesman. The suspect or suspects fled in an unknown vehicle, according to police.

A Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle on its way to the shooting call was in an accident at 12:18 p.m. Saturday at 90th and Parallel, according to a sheriff’s spokesman.

The marked patrol vehicle had its lights and sirens on, the sheriff’s department stated.

Both the deputy and the civilian were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the sheriff’s spokesman stated. The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department is investigating the accident.

Parallel Parkway was closed for some hours because of the accident, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
