Two adult males were in critical condition after a shooting at about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, in the 1600 block of Richmond, according to a Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department spokesman.
Officers were dispatched to the location on the report of a shooting when they discovered two males with apparent gunshot wounds outside a residence, the spokesman stated.
The men were taken to an area hospital, where they remained in critical, but stable, condition, according to the spokesman.
The suspect or suspects fled in a vehicle, according to police.
A dog that was also struck by a bullet was transported for treatment, and Animal Services is hopeful that the animal will recover, the spokesman stated.
