Two persons have died in an overnight fire at a house near 8th and Troup, according to a Kansas City, Kansas, Fire Department spokesman.
Firefighters responded to the fire about 3:18 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 837 Troup, the spokesman said.
Firefighters found a fully involved house fire, and while extinguishing the fire, they found two bodies, according to the spokesman.
The spokesman did not yet have information on the age and gender of the victims. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
An investigation is ongoing, according to the spokesman. The fire investigator and fire marshal were at the scene of the fire this morning.
The damage to the house was estimated at $25,000 to $35,000, with the contents damage unknown, according to the Fire Department report.
