The University of Kansas Hospital’s Burnett Burn Center on Sunday reported 20 total fireworks injuries patients since Friday, according to a spokesman.
There were 11 new fireworks injury patients in the last report.
The total number included 13 males and seven females, ranging in age from 5 to 75, according to the spokesman.
Most of the injuries were to the hand, face and eyes, according to the spokesman.
Fireworks causing the injuries were sparklers, mortar, smoke bombs and dynamite, according to the spokesman.
One patient was admitted to the hospital because of fireworks injuries, the spokesman stated.
