An estimated 1,500 people attended the first Turkish Festival, held Saturday, Aug. 27, at 4215 Shawnee Drive in Kansas City, Kan.
People came from throughout the Greater Kansas City area to enjoy the food and music.
The event was sponsored by the Dialogue Center, so they could build a youth center with the funds.
