A truck overturned on an I-70 ramp about 1:10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 16, according to a Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper’s crash log.
A Freightliner pulling a trailer was on the ramp to northbound I-435 from eastbound I-70 at highway speeds, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver applied the brakes while entering the right-handed curve but the trailer overturned, followed by the truck, the trooper’s report stated. The truck and trailer came to rest off the left side of the ramp on the driver’s side, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver, a 35-year-old man from Regina, had a possible minor injury and was taken to a hospital, the trooper’s report stated.
The trailer and truck were from Saskatchewan, Canada.
