Two locomotives and five rail cars derailed on a railroad bridge today in Kansas City, Kansas.
According to a spokesman for Union Pacific, the derailment happened around 7:30 a.m. Sept. 15.
The rail cars were carrying automobiles across a bridge near the Santa Fe Junction in Kansas City, Kansas, according to the spokesman.
There were no injuries, the spokesman stated. The cause of the derailment is under investigation, according to the spokesman.
Union Pacific is working to get the locomotives and cars back on the rail so they can be cleared from the bridge, the spokesman stated.
