A train derailed on Friday near Loring Road – 142nd Street in Wyandotte County.
According to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Fire Department, 25 rail cars were derailed.
There were no leaks, no spills and no injuries, according to the Fire Department.
Nine rail cars were low-pressure tank cars transporting isobutane, an odorless gas that is used as a refrigerant.
The Kansas City, Kansas, Fire Department and Hazmat crews responded.
According to the Fire Department, Union Pacific was at the scene assessing the situation.
