Kansas City, Kansas, police have a traffic plan for the opening of a Whataburger restaurant on Tuesday in the Village West area.

The restaurant at 10780 Parallel Parkway is owned by KMO Burger, which includes Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. It will open at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

The traffic plan will be in effect from 7 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, until 5 p.m. Sunday, June 12, according to a police spokesman.

The new restaurant is located in the Plaza at the Speedway development at 107th and Parallel Parkway, near a Chick-Fil-A restaurant, and south of Walmart.

Traffic coming from the east on Parallel Parkway will be using the far right turn lane on Parallel to reach the restaurant. Cones will be placed, along with message boards to help with traffic, police stated.

In addition, police officers and private security employees will help with the traffic, according to police.

Traffic to other businesses in the area may use 106th Street.
