Traffic changes are planned Thursday, April 30, on U.S. 69 bridges over the Missouri River, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.
The bridges connect Platte County, Mo., with Wyandotte County, Kan. The existing travel lanes north of the U.S. 69 Missouri River bridge will be modified Thursday.
Traffic will be moved to the new crossover pavement and onto the new bridge over the realigned Argosy Casino Parkway in Missouri.
The right-turn entrance into Argosy Casino from northbound U.S. 69 also will be modified this week. Motorists are advised to slow down and use caution, according to MoDOT.
In June, the realigned Argosy Casino Parkway is scheduled to be reopened to traffic. The existing road looping under the Platte Purchase Bridge will be removed from service permanently at that time to make way for the new bridge construction.
