Today’s weather: A little rain possible this afternoon

Wyandotte County could get a half-inch to an inch of rain from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service. (National Weather Service graphic)

There’s a slight chance of sprinkles between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Monday, and the high will be 58, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Rain chances will increase Wednesday afternoon and overnight, the weather service said. There could be isolated thunderstorms but no severe storms are expected.

Temperatures will return to above normal today through the week, according to the weather service.

The low will drop below freezing on Thursday night, according to the forecast. The forecast also calls for a chance of snow Friday night.

Today, there is a slight chance of drizzle between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., with mostly sunny skies and a high near 58, the weather service said. A south southwest wind of 6 to 11 mph will become light and variable.

Tonight, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 39 and a west wind of 3 to 6 mph, according to the weather service.

Tuesday, it will be sunny with a high near 61 and a west wind of 5 mph becoming calm in the morning, the weather service said.

Tuesday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 45 and a calm wind becoming south southeast around 5 mph after midnight, according to the weather service.

Wednesday, there is a 60 percent chance of rain after noon. The high will be near 65, with a south wind of 6 to 10 mph, gusting to 26 mph, the weather service said. Between a tenth and quarter-inch of rain is possible.

Wednesday night, there is a 90 percent chance of rain and possibly a thunderstorm before midnight, and then rain after midnight, according to the weather service. The low will be around 45, with between a half and three-quarters of an inch of rain possible.

Thursday, it will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 53, the weather service said.

Thursday night, the low will be around 28 with mostly cloudy skies, according to the weather service.

Friday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 44, the weather service said.

Friday night, there is a 30 percent chance of rain before 8 p.m., then a chance of rain and snow between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m., then a chance of snow after 2 a.m., according to the weather service. The low will be around 30.

Saturday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 48, the weather service said.

Saturday night, the low will be around 30 with mostly clear skies, according to the weather service.

Sunday, it will be sunny with a high near 52, the weather service said.
