Today’s temperatures to reach mid-50s

Today’s Valentine’s Day weather couldn’t be sweeter. A sunny day with a high near 54 is forecast, according to the National Weather Service.

A north northwest wind of 6 to 10 mph also is in today’s forecast.

Above normal temperatures and dry weather will continue this week, the weather service said. Warmer weather is in store for Wyandotte County on Thursday, arriving on winds from the southwest.

Tonight, the low will be around 28 with mostly clear skies and a north northwest wind of 8 mph, according to the weather service.

Wednesday, expect sunny skies and a high near 50, with a north northwest wind of 5 to 7 mph, the weather service said.

Wednesday night, the low will be around 33 with clear skies and a south southwest wind of 3 to 5 mph, according to the weather service.

Thursday, temperatures will jump to 65, with sunny skies, the weather service said. A southwest wind of 7 to 14 mph will gust as high as 25 mph. Thursday night, expect a low of 41.

Friday, the high will be near 68 with sunny skies, according to the weather service. Friday night, the low will be around 43.

Saturday, the high will be near 66 with sunny skies, the weather service said. Saturday night, expect a low of 46.

Sunday, the high will be near 68 with partly sunny skies, according to the weather service. Sunday night, there is a 40 percent chance of showers, with a low of 51.
