Today’s high in 60s; increased fire danger today

Today’s temperatures will rise into the 60s, along with an increased fire danger, particularly in areas south of I-70, according to the National Weather Service.

Dry weather, high winds and dormant vegetation together result in a higher fire danger risk across the area, the weather service said.

Outdoor burning is highly discouraged today, according to the weather service.

The high in Wyandotte County will be near 62, with south southwest winds of 9 to 17 mph, gusting as high as 29 mph, the weather service said.

Tonight, it will be mostly clear with a low of 42, and a south wind of 15 to 17 mph, gusting to 30 mph, according to the weather service.

Friday, there will be increasing clouds with a high near 58, the weather service said. A south wind of 15 to 17 mph will gust as high as 30 mph.

Friday night, the low will be around 31 with a southwest wind of 6 to 11 mph becoming light west after midnight.

Saturday, it will be sunny with a high near 54, the weather service said. A light west wind will increase to 5 to 9 mph in the morning.

Saturday night, the low will be around 26 with mostly clear skies, according to the weather service.

Sunday, the high will be near 45 with mostly sunny skies, the weather service said.

Sunday night, the low will be around 21, according to the weather service.

Monday, the high will be near 37 with mostly sunny skies, the weather service said.

Monday night, the low will be around 25 with partly cloudy skies, according to the weather service.

Tuesday, the high will be near 52 with mostly sunny skies, the weather service said.
