A significant drop in temperatures is in Wednesday’s forecast, as a daytime high of 37 will drop to a low of 9 on Wednesday night, and Thursday’s high will be around 20.
Snow could move in Wednesday morning from the south, changing to a rain-snow mix in the afternoon and then transitioning to snow on Wednesday evening, the weather service said.
A light slushy snow accumulation of around an inch is possible, according to the weather service. Temperatures will be near freezing on Wednesday morning, so a slight change in the temperature could result in more or less snow, the weather service said. Snow will move to the east on Wednesday night.
Lows on Thursday and Friday morning will be in the single digits and teens, with wind chill values in the negative teens to single digits above zero, according to the weather service. The quick drop in temperatures could create black ice and slick conditions Thursday morning, the weather service said.
Today, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 44 and a north northwest wind of 5 to 8 mph, the weather service said.
Tonight, there is a 20 percent chance of snow after 3 a.m., according to the weather service. The low will be around 32 with a light and variable wind becoming south around 6 mph in the evening.
Wednesday, there is an 80 percent chance of snow. Snow will be likely before noon, then rain and snow, the weather service said. The high will be near 37 with a south wind of 6 mph becoming light and variable in the morning. Less than 1 inch of new snow accumulation is possible.
Wednesday night, there is a 20 percent chance of precipitation, according to the weather service. A slight chance of drizzle and snow before 10 p.m. will be followed by a slight chance of snow between 10 p.m. and midnight. The low will be around 9. A light and variable wind will become north northwest at 10 to 15 mph in the evening, gusting as high as 28 mph.
Thursday, it will be sunny, with a high near 20 and a north northwest wind of 5 to 10 mph, becoming light north in the afternoon, the weather service said. Winds may gust as high as 24 mph.
