Today’s forecast had a chance of thunderstorms moving through the region by 11 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.
Any storms were not expected to be severe.
Fire danger will be elevated today, the weather service said, because of warm temperatures, modest south-southwest winds and dry fuels.
Relative humidity values will remain elevated enough to preclude extreme fire danger, according to the weather service.
Thunderstorms will again be possible Thursday night and Friday area wide, the weather service said. These storms are not expected to be severe and may bring beneficial rainfall.
Today’s high will be near 78, with south southwest winds of 18 to mph, gusting as high as 28 percent, the weather service said. There is a 20 percent chance of rain.
Tonight’s low will be around 61. A south wind of 13 to 16 mph may gust as high as 24 mph, according to the weather service.
Wednesday, the high will be near 79, with a southwest wind of 10 to 13 mph. according to the weather service.
Wednesday night, expect a low of 59 with a light south wind, the weather service said.
