Today, high of 76, storms in forecast for Friday

Today’s weather will see a high of 76, while Friday, there is a slight risk of severe weather in the afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service.

The main features of Friday’s storms may be damaging winds, large hail and flash flooding, the weather service said.

Some non-severe storms are possible early Friday morning before the main storm in the afternoon.

Today, it will be sunny with a high near 76, and an east northeast wind of 5 to 8 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon, the weather service said.

Tonight, it will be mostly cloudy with a low of 68 and a south wind of 8 to 14 mph, gusting as high as 21 mph, according to the weather service.

Friday, there is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m., the weather service said.  It will be cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 86. A south southwest wind of 14 to 20 mph may gust as high as 37 mph. Between a quarter and half-inch of rain is possible.

Friday night, there is a 90 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with some of the storms producing heavy rainfall, according to the weather service. The low will be around 62 with a south southwest wind of 6 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Between 1 and 2 inches are possible.

Saturday, there is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a high near 76, the weather service said. A northeast wind of 6 mph will become south in the afternoon. Between a quarter and half-inch of rain is possible.

Saturday night, there is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low of 68, according to the weather service. Between a tenth and quarter-inch of rain is possible.

Sunday, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m., with a high near 83, the weather service said.

Sunday night, it will be partly cloudy with a low of 72, according to the weather service.

Monday, it will be partly sunny with a high near 85, the weather service said.

Monday night, it will be mostly cloudy, with a low of 71, according to the weather service.

Tuesday, there was a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a high near 84, the weather service said.

Tuesday night, there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with some storms capable of producing heavy rainfall. The low will be around 65.

Wednesday, there is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a high near 74, the weather service said.
