Wyandotte County is under a severe thunderstorm watch until 10 p.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
The watch area also includes Johnson County and Leavenworth County in Kansas, as well as Clin\ton, Clay, Jackson and Platte counties in Missouri.
Showers and thunderstorms are possible, mainly before 2 a.m., the weather service said. Winds may gust as high as 34 mph.
Between a quarter and half-inch of rain is possible, according to the forecast.
