A three-vehicle crash was reported at 2:20 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at K-7 northbound at Parallel Parkway in Kansas City, Kan., according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
Two persons were sent to the hospital in the crash, the trooper’s report stated.
According to the trooper’s report, a 2012 Toyota Camry was northbound on K-7 in the left lane approaching the stoplight at K-7 and Parallel Parkway, and a 2005 Cadillac CTS was stopped in the left lane at the stoplight. A 2014 Ford Escape was stopped in the right lane at the stoplight, according to the report.
The Toyota Camry struck the rear of the Cadillac CTS, pushing the Cadillac into the passenger side of the Ford Escape, the trooper’s report stated.
All three vehicles traveled onto Parallel Parkway, the report stated. The Camry came to rest after striking a sign and a chain-link fence, according to the report.
The driver of the Camry, a 40-year-old man from Leavenworth, Kan., was injured and taken to a hospital with a possible injury, according to the trooper’s report. He was not wearing a seat belt, the report stated.
The driver of the Cadillac, a 35-year-old man from Leavenworth, Kan., had a possible injury and was taken to the hospital, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver of the Ford Escape, a 25-year-old woman from Basehor, Kan., was not injured, the report stated.
