A three-vehicle accident was reported at 6:46 p.m. Saturday, June 6, on I-435 northbound near State Avenue in Kansas City, Kan.,
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report, traffic was slowing when a Jeep Wrangler struck the rear of a Chrysler PT Cruiser, which then struck the rear of a Toyota.
The driver of the Toyota, a 42-year-old Kansas City, Kan., woman, was injured and taken to a hospital. A second passenger in the Toyota, a 20-year-old Lenexa, Kan., woman, was injured and taken to a hospital. A third passenger in the vehicle, a 45-year-old Kansas City, Kan., woman, was injured and taken to another hospital. The fourth passenger, a 1-year-old Lenexa, Kan., boy, was not injured but was taken to a hospital, according to the report.
The driver of the Jeep Wrangler, a 49-year-old Louisburg, Kan., man, was not injured according to the report. A passenger in the Wrangler, a 48-year-old Louisburg, Kan., woman, also was not injured, the report stated.
The driver of the Chrysler PT Cruiser, a 75-year-old Lenexa, Kan., man, was not injured, according to the report. A passenger in the Cruiser, a 53-year-old Lenexa, Kan., man, also was not injured, the report stated.
