Three injured in accident at 18th and Quindaro

An injury-accident was reported at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, at 18th and Quindaro, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Three vehicles were converging on the intersection when the accident happened.

A trooper’s report stated that a Toyota Paseo was southbound on 18th Street when it failed to yield and struck a Dodge Charger that was westbound on Quindaro Boulevard and clearing the intersection.

The impact of the Toyota and Dodge then caused them to be pushed into an Acura TL, which was stationary and was eastbound on Quindaro, according to the trooper’s report.

The driver of the Toyota, a 20-year-old man from Merriam, Kan., was injured and taken to the hospital, according to the report.

The driver of the Dodge, a 35-year-old man from Kansas City, Kan., was injured and taken to the hospital, the report stated.

The driver of the Acura, a 27-year-old woman from Kansas City, Kan., also was injured and taken to the hospital, the report stated.
