Three persons have died in an accident at 8:58 p.m. Aug. 10 on eastbound K-32, near I-435, according to a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
A Kia Optima was westbound on K-32, and a Mazda passenger car was eastbound. The Optima crossed the center median and struck the Mazda head-on, according to the trooper’s report.
The driver of the Kia Optima, Aaron A. Ashlock, 42, of Kansas City, Kansas, died at the scene, the trooper’s report stated.
The driver of the Mazda passenger car, Sarah A. Galutia, 29, of Overland Park, Kansas, also died at the scene, according to the trooper’s report.
The third fatality was a passenger in Galutia’s vehicle, Ashley D. Gonzalez, 33, of Shawnee, Kansas, who also died at the scene.
Two Shawnee, Kansas, girls, ages 11 and 12, who were passengers in the Mazda, were injured and taken to a hospital, the trooper’s report stated.
