Kansas City, Kan., Public Schools is sponsoring three community forums at Kansas City, Kan., Public Library branches to discuss the new proposed no-tax increase bond referendum, which will be on the Nov. 8 ballot. The forums:
• Oct. 3, West Wyandotte Library, 1737 N. 82nd St., at 6 p.m.
• Oct. 10, South Branch Library, 3104 Strong Ave., 6 p.m.
• Oct. 20, Main Library, 625 Minnesota Ave., 6 p.m.
This bond referendum will allow the district to make improvements to every school, and build four new ones, all with no increase in taxes for community residents, a spokesman said. The public is invited to attend a forum to learn more about the bond issue.
