Three children in KCK taken into police protective custody

Three children in Kansas City, Kansas, were taken into police protective custody on Thursday.

According to a social media post by the police chief, a neighbor told officers that a 4-year-old boy had gone to a neighbor’s residence looking for his mother.

Officers took the child home and found two more children in the home, according to police. Police noted that the home was in deplorable condition, and there was no responsible adult present at the time.
