Rain is in the Thanksgiving forecast from the National Weather Service.

With temperatures at 33 degrees at 11 a.m. Thursday, precipitation will likely be in the form of rain today, but snow is still listed in the forecast as a possibility. Residents are advised to be prepared for anything, as Wyandotte County is on the boundary line of an area that could receive snow or ice.

The weather service said there is a chance of rain and snow before 2 p.m., then a chance of rain, with a 50 percent chance of precipitation today.

It will be cloudy, with a high near 36 and an east southeast wind around 7 mph, according to the weather service.

Tonight and in the early morning hours of Friday, rain is likely. The low will be 35 tonight, with a 60 percent chance of precipitation, the weather service said.

Friday, there is a 90 percent chance of rain, showers and possibly a thunderstorm after noon, according to the weather service. The high will be near 49. More showers are in the forecast for Friday night.
