A cumulative total of 10 fireworks-related injuries were reported as of 3 p.m. Sunday, July 3, according to the University of Kansas Health System’s Burnett Burn Center.
Of the 10 patients, eight were male and two were female. Their ages ranged from 24 to 45.
The injuries were on hands and faces, and were caused by mortar fireworks.
The Burnett Burn Center is a nationally accredited burn center for treatment of adult and children’s burns.
