A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is possible today before 1 p.m., then another slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
That will be followed by a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 7 p.m., the weather service said.
The chance of rain will increase through Tuesday, reaching a half-inch to 1 inch, for areas north of the Missouri River, according to the weather service.
After the cold front moves through, it will be the end of this summery period as we have known it the last week, and highs will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s, with lows dropping to the upper 40s to lower 50s Wednesday morning, the weather service said.
Today’s high will be about 83 degrees, with a south wind of 6 to 9 mph, according to the weather service.
Tonight, expect a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 7 p.m., with a low of 63, the weather service said. There will be a south southeast wind of 5 mph becoming calm, with new rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch.
Tuesday, there will be a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a high of 72, the weather service said, and a north northwest wind of 3 to 6 mph. Between a tenth and quarter of an inch of rain is possible.
Tuesday night, there will be a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 1 a.m., according to the weather service. The low will be around 57, with a north wind of 5 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.
Wednesday, it will be partly sunny with a high near 70, and a north wind of 6 to 8 mph, the weather service said.
Wednesday night, it will be partly cloudy with a low of 53, according to the weather service.
Thursday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 73, the weather service said.
Thursday night, the forecast is for partly cloudy skies and a low of 55, according to the weather service.
Friday’s forecast is mostly sunny with a high of 72, the weather service said.
Friday night, expect mostly clear skies and a low of 49, according to the weather service.
Saturday, it will be sunny with a high of 71, the weather service said.
