An injury was reported after a car went off I-635, went into a ditch and hit a tree on Tuesday, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper’s report.
The accident at 5:10 p.m. Sept. 25 on northbound I-635, north of Metropolitan Avenue, involved a 15-year-old male driver, according to the trooper’s report.
The Audi sedan went off the right side of the road, struck a guard rail, then went into the ditch and hit a tree, the trooper’s report stated.
The 15-year-old Kansas City, Kansas, male driving the car was injured and taken to the hospital, the report stated. He was not wearing a safety restraint, the report stated.
