Today’s forecast from the National Weather Service is windy and a high of 75 today.

There is a slightly elevated fire risk on Monday, according to the weather service, with the gusting winds.

Winds will be southerly this morning, gusting to 25 to 35 mph by late Monday morning into the afternoon, the weather service said.

Humidity values will range from 30 percent to 40 percent this morning and early afternoon, according to the weather service.

However, enough moisture remains in the grasses and foliage not to pose a high risk of fire danger, the weather service said.

On Tuesday, the high will rise to 80, according to the weather service. Dry weather will continue through Sunday and the start of next week.

Today, it will be sunny with a high near 75 and a south wind of 9 to 18 mph, gusting as high as 29 mph, the weather service said.

Temperatures fell to around 40 degrees overnight, so far the coldest fall temperatures, in Wyandotte County.

Below normal temperatures are expected through the weekend with highs in the upper 50s to mid 60s and lows in the mid 30s to low 40s this morning and in the 40s on Saturday and Sunday morning, the National Weather Service said.
