Weather: Cold, windy on Monday

Tonight, it will be clear, with a low of 24 and a light and variable wind, according to the weather service.

Tuesday, it will be sunny with a high near 49 and a southeast wind of 3 to 8 mph, the weather service said.

A slight chance of precipitation in today’s forecast should end by noon, according to the National Weather Service.

Wyandotte County saw a light mist this morning. Temperatures may reach a high of 44 today, the weather service said.

Winds gusting as high as 25 mph from the northwest are expected, according to the weather service.

For Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, a weak cold front will move through the region, the weather service said. No moisture is associated with it, however, and it will bring only some clouds and cooler temperatures on Friday.

Those who are traveling on Sunday might see a little moisture south of the Missouri River. Temperatures should be high enough that it will be rain. If the precipitation is closer to the morning hours, mixed precipitation and snow could be possible, according to the weather service. Chances for precipitation are low.

Today, there is a 20 percent chance of rain before 11 a.m., with a high near 44, the weather service said. A northwest wind will be 8 to 14 mph, gusting as high as 25 mph.

An isolated storm south of the Missouri River could produce strong wind gusts, up to 60 mph, the weather service said.

Strong south winds of 8 to 14 mph, with gusts up to 29 mph, are expected today, according to the weather service.

Today, there is a 90 percent chance of rain, and possibly a thunderstorm after noon, the weather service said. The high will be near 52, with a south wind of 8 to 14 mph, gusting as high as 29 mph. Between a quarter and half-inch of rain is possible.

Tonight, there is a 90 percent chance of rain and possibly a thunderstorm, according to the weather service. The low will be around 41 with a south southeast wind of 6 to 13 mph, becoming north after midnight. Winds may gust as high as 24 mph. Between a quarter and half-inch of rain is possible.
