Victim of fatal crash on K-7 identified

The victim of a fatal crash at 11:52 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at K-7 and Leavenworth Road has been identified.

A victim who died in the crash was identified as Steven Hill, 41, according to a spokesman for the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

According to police, there were two vehicles involved in the crash.

Two persons were in the other vehicle in the crash. They were Brandon Anderson, 22, and Carmen Simbeck, 21, according to a police spokesman. They were taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Traffic Support Unit and Criminal Investigation Bureau are investigating. Police asked anyone with information to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.

Fatal crash reported at K-7 and Leavenworth Road

A 41-year-old man died in a crash on Saturday night at K-7 and Leavenworth Road that also left two others in critical condition, according to police.

The crash happened about 11:52 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at K-7 and Leavenworth Road. The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department responded to a dispatched call about the crash, a spokesman stated.

The driver who was killed was traveling eastbound on Leavenworth Road, according to police.

The eastbound vehicle struck another vehicle that was traveling northbound on K-7, police spokesman stated. The second vehicle was occupied by a female about 21 years old and a male about 23 years old, according to police. The two were taken to a hospital in critical condition.

The crash is under investigation by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau and the Traffic Support Unit, according to the spokesman. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
