Shooting reported on North 47th

A suspect began shooting at a victim about 10:50 p.m. June 20 in the 1800 block of North 47th Street, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

The victim had serious injuries and was treated a hospital, the report stated.

Assault report on State Avenue


An aggravated assault was reported at 11:55 p.m. June 20 in the 3700 block of State Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

The suspect pointed a gun at the victim, the report stated. The suspect then fled.

Man dies in shooting near 48th and Richmond

A man in his early 30s died after being shot about 4:38 p.m. Saturday, June 20, in the 4800 block of Richmond Avenue, according to the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

The suspect, a man in his early 50s, had left the scene of the shooting, according to police.

The victim, Vincent Locke 31, of Kansas City, Kansas, was taken to a hospital where he later died, according to police.

The suspect, Anthony Kane of Kansas City, Kansas, was taken into custody at a hospital where he had sought treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, police stated.

Police said an initial investigation indicated the two men were related and the shooting occurred as a result of a domestic argument.

Burglary reported on Shawnee Drive

A burglary was reported at 5:43 a.m. June 17 in the 4600 block of Shawnee Drive, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

The suspects damaged the building and entered the business, according to the report. The suspects took money from the safe and fled, the report stated.

Home, vehicle struck by gunfire on North 33rd

A home and a vehicle were struck by gunfire at 6 a.m. June 17 in the 2600 block of North 33rd Street, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

Officers responded to a shots fired call, the report stated. When they arrived, officers located a house and vehicle that had been struck by gunfire, according to the report. There were no injuries reported.

Officers involved in accident on State

Kansas City, Kansas, police officers were responding to an injury accident when a collision occurred at 1:28 p.m. June 17 in the 1000 block of State Avenue, according to a social media post by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

Two vehicles collided with each other within the intersection, according to the report.

The officers and driver were taken to a hospital with minor injuries, the report stated.
