Ramp and lane closures are scheduled in Wyandotte County on Thursday June 18, and Friday, June 19, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation, weather permitting.

Traffic on all these projects will be diverted using mobile lane closures, signs and traffic cones, according to KDOT.

In Wyandotte County, there will be closures for bridge joint maintenance:

• Ramp and two left lanes closed, westbound I-70 to southbound I-635, Thursday, June 18, and Friday, June 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

To set up traffic control for bridge maintenance, the closures include:
• Single lane on northbound and southbound I-635 from I-70 to Parallel Parkway, and ramps at northbound I-635 from eastbound State Avenue and northbound I-635 from westbound State Avenue, Thursday, June 18, and Friday, June 19, from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m.

The KDOT spokesman urged all motorists to be alert and obey the warning signs when approaching and driving through a highway work zone. Lane closures for milling and overlay on U.S. 73 are occurring this week, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.

The intermittent lane closures will be on U.S. 73 from State Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas, to Ida Street in Lansing from 6:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, June 15, through Friday, June 19.
