The Kansas City T-Bones have added outfielder Logan Moon to the roster.
The T-Bones also announced the trade of outfielder Dexter Kjerstad to the Winnipeg Goldeyes for a player to be named later.
Moon comes to Kansas City from nearby AAA Omaha in the Pacific Coast League. The Blue Springs, Missouri, native was drafted in the sixth round of the 2014 June amateur draft by the Kansas City Royals.
While with the Storm Chasers, Moon played in 34 games, hitting .193 with 12 RBIs. He spent most of his time in the outfield adding two games as a designated hitter.
He spent his rookie year playing for Burlington, North Carolina, in the Appalachian league. While with the Royals he batted .332 in 59 games, with two home-runs, 24 RBIs and 16 stolen bases.
He spent 2015 with Wilmington, Delaware, in the Carolina League. Moon played 121 games for the Blue Rocks, batting .254, with 28 RBIs and 12 stolen bases.
Moon also played in the Australian baseball league for Melbourne where he batted .300 in 54 games. He also added five home runs, 24 RBIs and 12 stolen bases in his foreign-league debut.
Moon spent 2016 with AA Northwest Arkansas in the Texas League. While with the Naturals, he batted .254 with four home runs and 30 RBIs. In 2017, he had his best hitting average with AAA Omaha where he batted .336 in 29 games. He finished the year back with AA Northwest Arkansas.
Kjerstad played in 57 games for Kansas City in 2018. While with the T-Bones, Kjerstad batted .252 with four home runs, 30 RBIs and eight stolen bases.
On July 25 against the Lincoln Saltdogs he had a diving catch in left field that saved two runs and proved to be the difference in the game. Kjerstad was originally drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 50th round of the 2010 June draft out of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He reached AAA in 2017 when he played for the New Orleans Baby Cakes in the Pacific Coast League.
The T-Bones are second in the American Association with a .651 winning percentage and a 41-22 record.
