The Kansas City T-Bones and the Sioux City Explorers were rained out owing to unplayable field conditions Tuesday night at T-Bones Stadium in Kansas City, Kansas.
The team, led by the grounds crew, made every effort to get the field ready to play the game, but the amount of rain that has fallen in metro Kansas City was just too much to allow the teams to take the field, according to a spokesman.
The two teams will play two seven-inning games Wednesday with game one beginning at 11:05 a.m. The T-Bones are expected to start left-handed pitcher Henry Owens while Sioux City will start right-handed pitcher Jonathan McKinney. In game two, the T-Bones will start right-handed pitcher Jon Perrin while the Explorers will counter with right-handed pitcher Max Duval.
Tickets for Tuesday night’s game will be good for any future regular-season home game and may be exchanged at the Saint Luke’s box office at T-Bones Stadium for a ticket of equal or lesser value, subject to availability.
Full and half-season 2019 ticket packages as well as mini plans are on sale online or by calling 913-328-5618 or by visiting the Saint Luke’s Box Office between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Group ticket sales are also on sale.
Upcoming promotions at T-Bones Stadium include Thursday, Tyler’s Amazing Balancing Act, and Throwdown Thursday. Friday will feature Championship Poster giveaway, and a salute to Disney Night. The weekend continues with a Sizzlin’ Saturday night with fireworks and Frank Mason III. The homestand wraps up with the annual Frank White Free Pre-Game Baseball Clinic and Sunday Funday.
