T-Bones come from behind to win on the road, 7-6

The Kansas City T-Bones, rallied from a 5-0 deficit, to stun Lincoln, 7-6, Tuesday night at Haymarket Park in Lincoln, Neb.

The Saltdogs scored four runs on T-Bones starting pitcher Steve Sarcone in the first four innings. Sarcone walked three in the fourth inning, including a bases-loaded walk in a two-run fourth inning.

The T-Bones entered the eighth inning down 5-0, but for the second consecutive game, Adam Bailey hammered a three-run home run, his 12th of the season, to give Kansas City life, and pull within 5-3.

The T-Bones finished the game by adding four more runs in the ninth inning off Lincoln closer Marshall Schuler (2-2).

With two outs, Starlin Rodriguez ripped a two-run double to pull Kansas City within a 6-5 deficit. Nate Tenbrink singled to right, which advanced Rodriguez to third, but the throw went to the plate, and Tenbrink moved up to second base. Jake Blackwood, with a full count, ripped a game-winning single to right, and gave Kansas City its only lead in the game, 7-6 in the ninth.

Aaron Baker closed the game for Kansas City, and picked up his fourth save of the season, to preserve the wacky win for Kansas City.

Kansas City starting pitcher Bobby Doran (8-2) gets the starting nod Wednesday evening, as the T-Bones look for the series win.
