ACM’s 2015 New Artist of the Year Cole Swindell will wave the green flag to start the fifth race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, the Hollywood Casino 400, at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16.
The Georgia native, whose current single “Middle of a Memory” is a Top 5 song on country radio and averaging over 2 million streams per week, will release his third extended play record, “Down Home Sessions III” on Oct. 28. Swindell’s Platinum-certified “You Should Be Here” already boasts over 65 million streams, 1 million tracks sold and almost 30 million YouTube views.
Swindell is a record-breaking five-time No. 1 hit maker with Platinum-certified songs “You Should Be Here,” “Hope You Get Lonely,” “Ain’t Worth the Whiskey,” “Chillin’ It,” and Gold-certified “Let Me See Ya Girl.” His second album, “You Should Be Here,” shot to No. 1 on the iTunes Top Country Albums Chart and No. 3 All Genre within hours of its release. Its lead single and title track held a four-week run on top of Billboard’s Hot Country songs chart, in addition to multiple weeks sitting at No. 1 on country airplay.
In addition to being a talented singer, Swindell is also an award-winning songwriter who has written songs for Florida Georgia Line (“This is How We Roll,” Thomas Rhett (“Get Me Some of That”), and Luke Bryan (“Roller Coaster”).
Swindell is currently touring with Florida Georgia Line into the fall. His headlining tour, CMT On Tour Presents the Cole Swindell Down Home Tour, begins on Oct. 26.
