A suspect has been arrested and charged in the Aug. 15 homicide in the 8700 block of State Avenue, according to a Kansas City, Kansas, police spokesman.
Ricky Salazar, 34, a resident of Kansas City, Kansas, was charged with domestic battery and second-degree murder in relation to a domestic disturbance that resulted in the death of his brother, Ricardo Salazar, according to the spokesman.
He also faces charges of aggravated robbery, criminal in possession of a weapon and possession of cocaine in a separate incident, the spokesman stated. He is being held in the Wyandotte County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Major Case Unit is investigating. Anyone with information on the case is urged to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-TIPS, police said. All tipsters may remain anonymous.
