Temperatures were 63 degrees at 9 a.m., according to the weather service.
Predicted highs on Tuesday and Wednesday will be 77 and 82.
The forecast is dry until Wednesday night, when there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, the weather service said.
Then, there is a 30 percent chance of showers Thursday and a 30 percent chance of showers on Friday.
The weather service said a ridge located across the Rocky Mountains will head east into the Plains states early this week. Central and western Kansas may see some storms during the next few days, bt any of that activity will stay out of the Kansas City area until at least Wednesday, according to the weather service.
