Strong to severe thunderstorms possible tonight

Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible late tonight through early Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Storms are possible after 7 p.m. tonight, and are most likely from 9 p.m. to midnight.

With this storm, quarter to half-dollar size hail is possible, and winds could be 45 to 60 mph in places. There also is a low threat of an isolated tornado, the weather service said.

Localized heavy rain may lead to flash flooding in some areas, according to the weather service.

Today, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3 p.m., the weather service said. Some of the storms could be severe. The high will be near 70 with a northeast wind of 6 mph becoming calm in the afternoon. Less than a tenth of an inch is possible.

Tonight, there is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 7 p.m., according to the weather service. Some of the storms may be severe. The low will be around 59. A calm wind will become southeast around 6 mph after midnight. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter-inch are possible.

Saturday, there is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1 p.m., with a high near 70, the weather service said. It will be breezy, with a south wind of 8 to 13 mph becoming southwest 21 to 26 mph in the afternoon. Winds may gust as high as 36 mph.

Saturday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 44 and a west wind of 13 to 18 mph, gusting as high as 34 mph, according to the weather service.

Sunday, it will be sunny with a high near 64 and a west wind of 10 to 13 mph, gusting as high as 23 mph, the weather service said.

Sunday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 41, according to the weather service.

Monday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 67, the weather service said.

Monday night, there is a 70 percent chance of showers, with a low of 47, according to the weather service.

Tuesday, there is a 50 percent chance of showers before 1 p.m., with a high near 60, the weather service said.

Tuesday night, it will be mostly clear, with a low of 42, according to the weather service.

Wednesday, it will be mostly sunny, with a high near 64, the weather service said.

Wednesday night, it will be partly cloudy, with a low of 42, according to the weather service.

Thursday, it will be partly sunny, with a high near 60, the weather service said.
