There is a 20 percent chance of storms Thursday morning, but the best chance will develop Thursday evening and continue through Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Another round of storms will be possible Friday night into Saturday morning, the weather service said.

Some strong to severe thunderstorms are possible late Thursday and late Friday, according to the weather service.

Primary hazards will be large hail and damaging winds, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out, the weather service said.

The Missouri and Kansas rivers in Wyandotte County are currently below flood stage and below action stage, according to hydrology charts.

Today, there is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 85 with a calm wind becoming southeast around 6 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight, there is an 80 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1 a.m., according to the weather service. The low will be around 69 with a southeast wind of 5 to 7 mph.

Friday, there is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m., the weather service said. The high will be near 84 with a south southwest wind around 5 mph, becoming north in the afternoon. Between a tenth and quarter of an inch of rain is possible.

Friday night, there is a 90 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low around 71, according to the weather service. A calm wind will become south southeast around 6 mph after midnight. Between a half and three-quarters of an inch of rain is possible.

Saturday, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a high near 89 and a south wind of 6 to 8 mph, the weather service said. Between a tenth and quarter-inch of rain is possible.

Saturday night, there is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a low of 71, according to the weather service. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is possible.

Sunday, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 90, the weather service said.
