A stabbing occurred near 7th and Minnesota Avenue on Friday evening, according to a police spokesman.
A spokesman stated Kansas City, Kansas, police officers responded to a call they received about 5:25 p.m. Friday, and found a man outdoors with a stab wound.
The victim was taken to a hospital in serious but stable condition, according to the spokesman.
Police took a person of interest into custody off 18th Street, the spokesman stated.
